Sonic Youth: NYC and Beyond

I edited and co-directed this feature-length film with the band. This trailer shows fragments of some highlights: Unseen early live footage and a cable access interview, behind the scenes writing 'Goo', and unseen concert footage including McCarren Park Pool 2009.

For the audio mix: The 00's footage I had recorded mutitracks at the show and was able to mix the songs to modern standards. For the archival footage, I was inspired by the less-is-more mastering of the Velvet Underground's Quine Tapes; I pretty much just evened out the levels to keep the vibe raw.
